Spark lighters have enjoyed successful sales on the EU market for several years and many stockists became highly satisfied with not only the product but also with the level of service they received from dealing with a hands on and customer focussed company.
Despite fast becoming a market leader in its category Spark lighters were completely removed from the market 12 months ago to undergo brand redevelopment and redesign in terms of safety and appeal.
With ever increasing efforts to improve on quality, the safety aspect especially with more and more house fires being caused by young children, the need became our highest priority to develop a lighter both appealing yet safe from young children if left lying around.
The Spark brand is owned by Multibrands International who, originally began by trading in well known household brands providing its clients with products which carried the confidence in quality through clever marketing.
However Multibrands began to quickly realise that such trust was infact being abused and that such major brands were very profit orientated rather than true quality - especially in the EC.
This led to Multibrands sourcing the same products (often produced in the same factories) from other parts of the world where they were being sold far cheaper.
By bringing the products back to the EC, Multibrands was able to offer consumers with the same supposed high quality at fractional prices - this trade is also referred to as "parallel trade".
Such a move was quite obviously not welcome by the greedy brand owners as they found consumers were becoming more and more weary of paying ridiculous prices for products which were not infact as good as they expected.
Eventually after certain legal actions taken certain multi-nationals, Multibrands was forced to quit trading in the parallel market - nevertheless the passion for providing cost effective high quality products remained.
Hence for the past six years Multibrands has been researching and developing its own exciting range of FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods), and is now ready to launch a further range of quality, everyday products for consumers to actually see product promises fulfilled, including the all new Spark.
Each brand owned by Multibrands is an extremely high quality product, produced by some of the best factories in the world. Moreover designed by some of the most passionate and professional designers in the business.
